The striker captained the U19s squad to a 4-2 comeback victory away at LASK in the UEFA Youth League in midweek.
Having fallen two goals behind early in the second half, the Reds responded brilliantly and were inspired by a hat-trick from Wright.
He also set up the Luca Eden effort that made it 3-2 in Austria.
Wright’s treble on the European stage took his tally for the season so far to nine goals from eight appearances.
“I’ve picked up some good form at the start of the season and I have to just carry it on,” said the 18-year-old.
“It’s my first hat-trick for the club. I’m obviously a goalscorer but I want to be a more complete player as well.”
Later in the day, Wright and his teammates watched Andoni Iraola’s senior side follow up with a 6-3 defeat of LASK in the Champions League.
That victory included one of his peers, Lewis Koumas, starting again for Liverpool and grabbing his first goal in the competition.
Wright said: “Of course, I have to just keeping working hard like Lewis has, and some of the other lads like Chambo [Luke Chambers] and James McConnell.
“They come back and you ask, ‘What’s it like?’ and they say everyone works hard. That’s the level we have to aim for.
“My motivation is purely to get into the first team, to get in and around training and learn off some of the likes of [Alexander] Isak and Hugo [Ekitike].
“I like a direct striker who likes running in behind, always putting himself about, and I think that summarises me as well. It’s the way I was brought up, playing grassroots football on pitches that have rabbit holes in them. You are taught to deal with that circumstance.
“I appreciate the pitches and the facilities I work in because sometimes there can be a click of the fingers and it’s away from you.”
